Why I have the Myntra app and why you should have it on your cell phone!!

The hubby has a great heart. He conveniently hands over his credit card to his clothes-loving-wife to buy what her heart wishes. He is bad at gifting, bad at deciding if I’d like what he selects for me. Given our work schedules and the little time we spent together, the shopper-who-shopped-almost-everyday in me had died. I’d end up not buying clothes for months and then cribbing about it. Shopping didn’t give much respite too… Take out a week end, dedicate it to shopping, finish the everyday chores, roam around in malls, get tired and come out with a single top and maybe a pair of shorts!! Both of us would be irritated at the end! If I’d ever venture out alone, I’d want him to see the options and help me decide. So, I’d end up not buying anything.
Now imagine this-
Imagine never having to spend hours in a crowded mall!
Imagine having the whole weekend to yourself, just relaxing!
Imagine the possibilities when you don’t really have to go out and shop!
Imagine having a whole lot of brands just at the click of a button!
This and much more- just by downloading the MYNTRA app on your mobile!
Back from office, have food, put on the air conditioner and conveniently browse clothes on the mobile! Can life be any better!!So, now be it Valentine’s Day or my birthday or anniversary, the hubby happily pulls out his phone navigates to the Myntra app and helps me shop! The "Maid" post...

As soon as I start writing this post, I have so many things to write about.. I can actually have a daily season dedicated to the "MAIDS" in question. But what happened today needs a special mention, so here it is -

The one where she winks!!
I need the maid to come at 7:30 am, so that she can sweep and mop the floor and clean the utensils when I am around and I get enough time to get ready and catch the office bus at 8:25 am. But sure like hell, she doesn't. The last few days we had guests over, so she'd conveniently turn up late and I didn't make a fuss out of it, coz I really needed her to come. With the cook on leave, the utensils would be a problem, so the maid would wash the utensils till the cook comes back. Yesterday morning, I spoke to her and told her to come on time. She said she couldn't get up on time. She had to cook for a group of bachelors before coming to our place, so she'd end up coming late at our place. I made it clear that the guests will be gone and she'd need to start coming on time. She just smiled and said yes.
Today morning, she did not turn up till 8:00 am. I stepped out of the shower and the door bell rang. The hubby opened the door and I dressed up and went out to speak to her. I told her it didn't work like this and she needs to turn up at 7:30. To which she smiled and said, "I am unable to get up on time. You understand right? I am sleeping late. You are married, you understand right?" and she winked at me... giving an equally strange smile.. I looked at the hubby and didn't know what to do... He stood there rubbing his eyes and unable to understand the amused look on my face!! #Facepalm moment.

Quickly I gulped down my glass of milk and rushed to catch the bus!!
Yes I am married and I understand :P

And that's how the conversation went...

Me         Used my new debit card for the first time!
Hubby  :P  So, how did it feel?
Me         Not good! Who likes spending money?
If only I could buy milk for free every evening and not have to pay for it!
Hubby   Pet a buffalo and milk it!
Me         And buy a farm and plant my own crops
Hubby   :D
Me         And bake my own bread in my own bakery
And get my own hens, so that they’d give eggs
And get an orchard to harvest my own fruits!!
Ahhh!! If only Farmville was for real!
Maybe I could have my own land and do everything myself…
Have my yarn, design my own clothes.. and my foot wear too…
Bake cupcakes and serve them in my very own café, serve coffee along and even      have books for people to read..

Hubby goes offline… Me sits and plans about my imaginary world!

Start A New Life!

The loss of a family member is a wound that never heals, never soothes, never calms! No amount of time helps and no matter how much you try, there comes a time when memories flood, you try holding on to happy ones, but you cannot part away with the sad ones!
When I lost my Dad in a road accident, little was left in my life. But things aren't as you imagine, rather than sinking and not living, I had to live, stand for my mother , smile for my brother who had just begun his engineering. Life was not simple. We all wore multiple masks to hide the sadness and sorrow, coz out of our four strong pillars on which our house stood, one was gone - the one which was the strongest! But life doesn't stop, does it!
With a year of education still waiting for me and 4 long years for the brother, life changed. We didn't afford the luxuries which we could earlier, nor did we have a reason to smile. We all felt alone in this world with nothing but darkness all around. Mom stayed back at our native home and brother and I moved on, came to Pune to finish our studies. Mom had to be strong so that we don't give up and vice versa. Finally, things started falling a bit in place.. the sad memories haunted but we were slowly moving.. Finally, brother and I rented a place and started living together and I could actually feel my life brighten. It was a really small apartment, but how does it matter if you have your brother to share it with you. We laughed, we cried, we cooked, we lived! After a long time, I felt better! Before long, we started looking forward to bring mom to stay with us. It was difficult, she had a job and she had memories she wanted to hold onto. A lot of requests later, mom relented and here we were finally living together in Pune - the city of our dreams! It is a small apartment surrounded by greenery. We signed the agreement and moved in, cleaned the house and assembled all we had and then mom came. Fortunately she loved it. Finally this small flat was our abode, our "Home sweet home" and it still is! And life has never been better! We miss you Dad but atleast we are together now - a promise I made to you is finally live!

Yesterday we were discussing about getting a new house! Yes a flat of our own.. Our finances are better, conditions are better and it's time to get our own house! And Dad your blessings are with us! Thanks for being with us, even when not here!
Here's to new beginnings and new starts!
