Blogathon2015 - Day7 - Irony!!

Such is the irony of life!!
Had been to the Crossword Store.. they had a section dedicated to Nicholas Sparks..
I have seen the movie "A walk to remember" and am a fan of the movie..
The other novels seem to call out to me.. "Take us home" they said :)
I made a mental note of exploring the multiple novels and buy the best one and not stop till I had all...

Next morning, the news read "Nicholas Sparks Marriage of 25 years ends into divorce"...
How sad is that!! Such is the irony of life!
Am searching for love in his novels... and he is separating from his love..
huh :(

Blogathon2015 - Day6 - GOA & PASTA

Our first wedding anniversary took us to Goa, a separate post about all the fun we had there.. but what needs to be mentioned first and foremost is the PASTA!!
We reached Goa on our anniversary and planned to spend the evening at Tito's but the place was overstuffed as usual and so we ended up at Mambo's.. two of the most happening pubs @Baga beach , Goa! The music was nice and so were the starters, but what we were looking for was some silence. So, we headed to the nearest beach shack... We sat facing the waters ,hearing the waves soothe our souls.. The waves play this magic on me... Feels lost as well as happy at the same time :) We weren't very hungry and the hubby asked me to order... and much to his horror I ordered the White Sauce Pasta... something I love... Later we started regretting if it was a good choice to order at the Shack... but the order had been placed till then! The ambience was nice, the candle light and the cozy seating made it all the more romantic... But the best part is yet to come... the PASTA!!
OMG! It was the tastiest pasta I have ever tasted :) It was cheesy goey yummy... awesome :)

I loved it so much that I dragged hubby to the same place for dinner the next night too and for lunch a day later :P Yes!! That's the effect it had on me!! And its been more than a month now and the hubby hasn't agreed to an Italian night out yet!!
Cutting this post short... should go and eat pasta... hungry already :P

Blogathon2015 - Day5 - The End...

She ran to the bathroom..
Unable to contain her tears and with a heavy heart, she opened the bottle of phenyl in front of her!
She din't know if she wanted him to come and stop her..
She gulped down the complete liquid..
Had it been a glass of alcohol.. he would have teased her and asked her... "Bottoms up ehh?"
She laughed as the thoughts brought back memories....
Had it been any other day, she would have been running to catch her office bus, not today she told herself.. She stared in the mirror, unable to identify the person... Is this me? Given the fashion queen, she thought herself to be, she felt ashamed.. she dint wanna die in a plain sweat shirt and her favorite pair of jeans... But then that din't matter anymore did it?
The phenyl had started cleaning up, she was feeling the pain and burn in her stomach and on her lips... She could hear him shout and hurl abuse outside the bathroom.. not that it mattered anymore.. He had told her, she was a MISTAKE in his life... not once but many times.. and this time she din't want to give him a chance to say that again...
Her eyes blurred... Her legs started giving away..
And that was the END!

You'll keep flowers over her dead body now, shouldn't you have gifted her some when she was alive..
May be you'd miss her now, if only you bothered when she was alive..
An empty bed would sometimes make you feel lonely, if only you cared she felt alone too..
You'd look at her blue swollen lips , if only you kissed them when she had yearned for yours!!

Time flies never to come back again..
Say you love them now, take care now, stop and smell the roses with them now.. you never know when it can be the END!

Blogathon2015 - Day4 - Christmas Decoration @Phoenix,Pune

Christmas is one of the festivals I cherish with all my heart.. Having studied in a Convent, singing carols, dressing up for Christmas, eating plum cake and praising the Lord had become a way of life! So, this time the hubby decided to take me to Phoenix mall to enjoy the celebrations! But as Murphy would always have it his way, we had a working day and the roads were too packed for us to go.. Nevertheless, we kept out Christmas spirit alive and visited the mall on the weekend after Christmas... and oh boy!! It was worth the visit and the kilometers!! So if you haven't visited the mall and you are in Pune, its a must go! Posting some of the awesomeness pics...

I am loving the reindeers they made!! And to add up to the awesome atmosphere, we gorged on some "GRAND NACHOS" @ The Brew Pub and donuts and coffee @ Dunkin donuts!! Now that is life!!!

Blogathon2015 - Day3 - My December fab bag!!

I am in love with my November fab bag... The December bag arrived pretty much on the heels of the November one.. And except one product, everything else made me really happy!

Let me write about what I liked first....
The bag is an awesome Red !! given the Christmasy theme.. I also got chocolates in a cute red paper box. Merry Christmas :) There is a lemon grass candle, which is mild and nice.. The smell is relaxing, loved it! Here are the other products -
1. Kronokare cooling and detoxifying massage oils - Haven't used the oils, but given that I had a nice experience with the kronokare products I guess this will be good too..
2. Tattva cherry blossom body butter - The smell is nice.. and the butter is pretty hydrating.. I feel pampered when I use this!
3. Tattva vanilla cinnamon lip scrub - Now this is a one of a kind product, mostly because I haven't used it before.. It actually melts on the lips and scrubs away the dry skin showing an instant difference...
And now for the product I din't like -
The Sea Soul HD finish CC Cream - The smell is not good.. its too strong.. plus I don't really use a CC cream.. so I would have been fine not getting this.. The other December fab bags had awesome red lipstick or emerald eye liners, I would have preferred one of those... but anyways :)
Overall the bag and products are nice... so I am happy!
This is my second fab bag and am expecting my third one soon... January is already here!! Hope this one is nice too so that I subscribe to it again!! :)

Blogathon2015 - Day2 - My November fab bag!!

So when the hubby was clueless as to what he should gift me on our anniversary, I helped him and let him gift me a 3-month subscription of the fab bag!!  For those who don't know, Fab bag is a montly cosmetic subscription.. they send you some awesome products [sample sized] to try in super cute bags... And I was more that happy to get my first bag..
So without much ado... Presenting The NOVEMBER FAB BAG...

 

Sorry for the poor picture quality... but just look at the awesomeness.. Also am not beauty expert, so all comments are based on my experience...

The golden bag is super cute and I loved it! The hubby decorated the contents ,as you can see in the image and I was so happy :)

Here's what I got in my bag -
1.Gulnar Handmade Mint Lemon grass soap - It is pretty mild and the smell makes me feel real fresh.. I am a fan of hand made soaps and always wanted to try them out at the various Body Shop, Khadi and Fab India stores but never really did.. Now I know, I will!
2.City Color Cheek Stain - This , gurlies, is very very nice! The pink color is cute.. I almost wore it to office for a week and then had to literally stop myself.. The pink color is nice and the stain blends beautifully with the skin :) Am loving it!
3.Wella Enrich Moisturizing Shampoo - When it's Wella, the name speaks for itself.. Just the sample size is so small , that three hair washes and you'd run out of shampoo... but I guess that's what samples are for! The shampoo is nice.. and I wouldn't mind ordering it next I order hair care products
4.Kama Ayurveda Brigandi Oil - Brigandi oil is known for its magical powers... Haven't applied it yet.. The smell is too strong.. But I surely will and post the results!
5.Votre Invigorating Orange Hand and Foot Gel - This is an absolute luxury.. The citrusy smell may not be liked by all.. but the gel is nice... I have been applying it to my hands and feet before sleeping and seeing the difference!
6.All Good Scents Tender - It is a floral combination and is a sweet perfume!

So all in all the products are nice and I loved all of them.. The golden bag is nice too!
I also got the Kronokare Lavender shower gel and body lotion as I had subscribed the 3-month subscription.. Sadly this offer doesn't stand any more... but according to me these products are the best of the lot... The smell is good and long lasting. The lotion is hydrating and the smell keeps lingering day long!

Blogathon2015 - Day1

Yes go ahead and call me insane... Coz that's what I have been feeling like.. It's day 5 of the Blogathon 2015 and here is a foolish and insane girl writing her day 1 post... But I really gotta start today and now or else I'll never start...

31st December 2014 and 1st January 2015 were nightmarish.. If I could, I would tear them to pieces so small that they wouldn't even be visible under any microscope. Alas! I cannot do that. The best I can do is write...

Life has always been cruel, but the thorns always showed promises of roses so I tread on the path without another thought. I always believed in hearing what the world said but following what my heart said and this is exactly what I did! But see where I am standing now.. in midst of nowhere.. with a broken heart... Gathering all the pieces together and searching for a glue so strong that no matter what I don't ever get a heart break again..

Hope you guys had a better New Year's Eve... Reading your blogs made me feel happy :) Made me remember of those wonderful NYE's when we had fun :) Sitting in front of the T.V. , sometimes only with Doordarshan and relishing the awesome food mom had cooked... and then being dropped into my warm and cozy bed by Dad!! Nothing ever can match those times... The first NYE I spent with the hubby when he wished me a "Happy New Year" infinite number of times :)

Times have been tough this year.. hope they vanish!!
